Introduction
When trying to install any new software in Windows 2003 Server (with SP1), where DEP - Data Execution Permissions are opted for, you may come across "1920 xxxx" errors. This will prevent the installation of the software and the subsequent starting of the services in Windows Component Services.
Steps
1. When you come across the 1920 error message (insufficient privileges to install), keep clicking on the "ignore" button and finish the last step.
2. Restart the computer (serveR)
3. The system will now show messages saying that the newly installed software has to be included in DEP in order to start. Click on "yes" and "close"
4. Go to \control panel\system\advanced\performance\DEP\... to check for the installed software's inclusion.
5. Go to Windows Component Services and start the services of the new software
6. The software will be up and running now.
